The solid oak wooden dog crate does not have a wooden floor - it is open. A standard plastic dog crate pan is included and fits perfectly inside the wood dog crate and easily removes for cleaning. Stain colors are standard MinWax shades that are sprayed on and hand-wiped off for uniform coverage. A completely safe, water-based polyurethane satin finish, is then sprayed on for a tough, smooth surface with no brush strokes.
