A charming characteristic of poplar wood is the natural contrast between the heartwood and the sapwood sections. The heartwood darkens over time and contrasts beautifully with the naturally light sapwood sections. A removable, black plastic floor is included.

The solid poplar wooden dog crate does not have a wooden floor - it is open. A standard plastic dog crate pan is included and fits perfectly inside the wood dog crate and easily removes for cleaning. A completely safe, water-based polyurethane satin finish, is sprayed on for a tough, smooth surface with no brush strokes.
