The Original Bicycle Dog Trailer or Bike Dog Trailer Carrier, is a great way to safely take your dog with you when you go on a bike ride! The "Original" Trailer, from DoggyRide, is designed specifically for larger dogs (ideal for pets up to 100 lbs). Tested up to 100 lbs, but pets over 80 lbs can cause an issue with center of gravity considerations depending on the terrain you will be riding in. A thin MDF rigid board (3mm) sewn inside the fabric provides solid support and includes a non-slip surface so your dog doesn't slide inside the trailer while riding. Excellent air circulation, great viewing through the strong mesh windows and a rear entry are standout features of this dog trailer for large dogs!

(2) interior leash hooks provide an important safety feature. Use your own leash, or purchase the (2-point) safety leash set pictured below - the Leash Set has 2 clasps that attach to each leash hook while the center clasp attaches to your dogs harness. This keeps your dog safe during any sudden stops yet still provides plenty of movement and freedom (adjustable leash length) for them to enjoy the ride!

HITCH INSTALLATION (do I need the adapter?):The standard hitch fits more than 99% of quick release and nutted axels. If you have an internal hub gear (a small number of specialized bikes have them - like Electra bikes) the regular hitch will not fit. Please choose the hitch adapter option below.
